Add your video.
Open a supported local video in the Windows app, or select the file in Finder on Mac. Keep free disk space for temporary files and the output.
Set your target to 10 MB.
On Windows, choose MP4 and enter 10 as the target MB. On Mac, right-click and choose Compress Video → Under 10 MB, or use Custom Size.
Preview before sharing.
Review the output beside your original. If the picture is too soft or the target cannot produce a valid video, choose a larger size or shorten your video in an editor first.

Windows portable app
- Extract the entire ZIP, then open ConvertRight.exe.
- Add a video, choose MP4, enter target MB and choose a resolution limit.
- The optional right-click menu currently provides audio conversion. Video compression is available in the app window.
macOS installer
- Open the downloaded DMG, then double-click RightClick Converter Installer.pkg and finish installation.
- In Finder, select a local MP4 file and right-click it. Choose Extract audio as → MP3. The installer attempts to enable the extension for you.
If the shortcuts do not appear
Open System Settings, then follow the path for your version:
- macOS 15 and later: General → Login Items & Extensions → Extensions. Find RightClick Converter under the installed extensions and enable its Finder extension.
- macOS 13–14: Privacy & Security → Extensions. Find the app under Added Extensions or Finder Extensions and enable it.
An older installation may be named Finder Audio Tools. Settings labels vary by macOS version; search System Settings for “Extensions” if needed. Close and reopen your Finder window, then try a local file in Downloads.

A size target with real tradeoffs.
A longer video has less room for each second at the same 10 MB target. Fine text, texture and fast motion may lose detail. Choose maximum 1080p or 720p when appropriate. This is lossy compression, not a promise of unchanged quality.

Can I use this for Discord or email?
Check your account or service’s current upload limit and choose a target below it. Limits vary by service and plan; 10 MB is a selectable target, not a claim about the current Discord limit.
Can every video fit into 10 MB?
Very small targets may not produce a valid output, especially for long videos. Choose a larger target when needed. Small targets can reduce detail or resolution.
What happens to HDR footage?
Windows currently accepts SDR video, so export an SDR copy first. The macOS compression workflow converts HDR to SDR for sharing.
Is this a free online converter?
ConvertRight is a desktop app, not a browser converter. Each app includes 5 successful conversions, then unlimited conversions cost $1 once for one computer. Windows and macOS licenses are purchased separately.
Will my files be uploaded?
No media is uploaded for conversion. Processing runs locally. Purchase, activation and periodic license checks need internet.
