Open System Settings, then follow the path for your version:

  • macOS 15 and later: General → Login Items & Extensions → Extensions. Find RightClick Converter under the installed extensions and enable its Finder extension.
  • macOS 13–14: Privacy & Security → Extensions. Find the app under Added Extensions or Finder Extensions and enable it.

Before you start.

Can I convert MP4 to MP3 offline?

Media conversion runs locally without uploading files. Purchase and activation require internet, and periodic license checks still apply. Offline conversion does not mean the app never needs an internet connection.

Can I paste a YouTube or TikTok link?

No. Start with a supported video file already saved on your computer that you own or have permission to use. ConvertRight does not download videos or convert website links.

Can I choose the MP3 bitrate?

The app uses a built-in MP3 setting and does not offer bitrate or sample-rate controls. MP3 is lossy, so encoding may reduce audio quality. WAV is also available for editing, but cannot restore detail already lost in the source.

Is this a free online converter?

ConvertRight is a desktop app, not a browser converter. Each app includes 5 successful conversions, then unlimited conversions cost $1 once for one computer. Windows and macOS licenses are purchased separately.

Will my files be uploaded?

No media is uploaded for conversion. Processing runs locally. Purchase, activation and periodic license checks need internet.
